About the event

Mant people siliently sufferes from the symtoms of anxiety. It prevents many from enjoying life and showing up for yourself and others in the most authentic way. In the five sessions of this psychoeducational group I will not only teach you about the anxiety, but most importantly give you tools and skills to prevent anxiety from controling your life.

In the first two sessions I will introduce you to what anxiety is and what it is not, how it can be useful, teach you how to recognise what anxiety feels like for you, and introduce you to grounding and relaxation techniques. In session three we will learn the way that we can gently challenge our unhelpful anxious thoughts and beliefs about ourselves. By session four we will be equiped to dive into our unhelpful childhood experiences to see where we learnt what we learnt about anxiety, and how a lot of it comes from shame. In our last session we will learn that self compassion is an antidode for shame and what can we do to develop self-compassionate inner dialoge.

I will keep the groups small and sessions as interactive as possible, as well as spending up to 30 minutes after each session for questions and answars. Hope to see you there!
